# Contact Otter

Otter is an A/B testing platform for websites, built and run by a small team. Every message reaches a person who works on the product — there is no ticket-routing maze between you and someone who can answer.

## Email

- **General enquiries** — hello@otterab.com. Anything that does not fit the categories below.
- **Support** — support@otterab.com. Installation problems, tests that will not launch, results that look wrong, billing questions. Including your project name and the test URL gets you a useful answer on the first reply.
- **Sales** — sales@otterab.com. Plan sizing, multi-project setups, migrating an existing experimentation programme, and questions about what Otter does and does not do before you commit.
- **Privacy and data requests** — privacy@otterab.com. Data access, correction, export, and deletion requests under GDPR, CCPA, and equivalent regimes, plus questions about how visitor data is processed. See the [privacy policy](https://www.otterab.com/privacy) for what Otter collects and how long it is kept.
- **Legal** — legal@otterab.com. Terms of service, data processing agreements, and security questionnaires.

## Live chat

Every page of otterab.com and the Otter dashboard carries a chat widget in the bottom corner. It is the fastest route for a short question while you are mid-setup — screenshots and snippets can be pasted straight into the thread.

## Before you write in about a test

Most support threads resolve faster when the first message includes:

1. The project name and the URL the test runs on.
2. Whether the Otter snippet is verified for that project (the dashboard shows this on the project page).
3. What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
4. Whether the problem appears for every visitor or only some — for example only on mobile, or only for returning visitors.

The [documentation](https://www.otterab.com/docs) covers installation, goal setup, targeting, and how to read results. The [troubleshooting guide](https://www.otterab.com/docs/building-tests/troubleshooting) covers the cases that come up most: a snippet that is not on the page being tested, and a goal that never fires because its selector no longer matches.
