Before you write in about a test
Most threads resolve on the first reply when the opening message carries these four things.
- The project name and the URL the test runs on.
- Whether the Otter snippet is verified for that project — the dashboard shows this on the project page.
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
- Whether the problem appears for every visitor or only some — only on mobile, say, or only for returning visitors.
The documentation covers installation, goal setup, targeting, and reading results. The troubleshooting guide covers the cases that come up most: a snippet that is not on the page being tested, and a goal that never fires because its selector no longer matches.
