Exporting & Emailing Reports
Get your results out of Otter A/B in two clicks — download them as a spreadsheet or a PDF — or have a report emailed to anyone, every day or every week, all on its own.
Sometimes you want your numbers somewhere other than the dashboard — in a spreadsheet to chart yourself, in a PDF to send to your boss, or landing in a teammate's inbox every Monday morning. Otter A/B does all three. Exporting only reads your data, so it never changes anything about your test.
Download your results
- 1
Open the test and find the Share button
Go to the test's results page. Near the top you'll see a Share button — click it to open the “Share & export” menu. - 2
Choose Export PDF or Export CSV
Export PDF saves a tidy, printable picture of the results page. Export CSV saves a spreadsheet you can open in any spreadsheet app. The file downloads straight away — nothing to set up first. - 3
Want the full picture? Clear filters first
Exports match exactly what's on your screen. If you've picked a single goal or a segment (like mobile-only), the file contains just that view. Clear your filters and switch back to the primary goal before exporting if you want everything.
CSV (spreadsheet)
A summary row for the goal, one row per version (visitors, conversions, conversion rate, lift), and a day-by-day breakdown over time. Best when you want to crunch the numbers yourself.
PDF (printable)
A clean snapshot of the results page. Best when you want something nice to send, print, or file away.
Email a report on a schedule
Instead of remembering to send an update, let Otter A/B do it. A scheduled report email arrives in the inboxes you choose, daily or weekly, at the time you pick.
- 1
Open the share window
On the results page, click Share, then Share via link. The share window opens, where you'll find the email-reports section. - 2
Add who should receive it
Type one or more email addresses. To send to several people, separate them with commas. They don't need an Otter A/B account to read what arrives. - 3
Pick how often and when
Choose Daily or Weekly, the hour of day, and the timezone. If you skip the timezone it uses your project's reporting timezone (then your account's, then UTC). - 4
Save — and stop anytime
Save and the report starts going out on its own. Every schedule you create is listed in the same window with a remove option, so you can turn one off whenever you like.
Good to know
Anyone can export; only the team can schedule. Viewers can download a CSV or PDF themselves, but creating or changing a scheduled email is for owners, admins, and members — because those emails go out to other people.
Saved views are a personal shortcut. You can save a favourite filter-and-goal combination as a named view for one-click access, but saved views live in the browser you're using — they're not shared with teammates or carried to another device.
Sending to people outside your company? A scheduled email shows the results to whoever receives it. For a link you can password-protect or switch off later, use a shared report instead.
